Who we are

Wedyay (wedyay.com) makes wedding invitations: free posters and short films from the poster studio, a cinematic invitation film, and a living invitation webpage with RSVP collection. This policy explains what we collect and why. Write to hello@wedyay.com with any question.

What we collect

• From couples, in the Studio chat: your names, wedding dates and venues, family names, your story, up to three photos of the two of you, the title or YouTube link of a song, your wedding hashtag, and the WhatsApp numbers guests should RSVP to. This is used only to create, host and edit your invitation.
• Payments: handled by Razorpay. We receive the order and payment identifiers, the amount and the status; we never see or store card, UPI or bank details.
• Signing in: if you sign in by email we send a one-time link to the address you enter, keep a hashed copy of that link for 15 minutes and of your session for 30 days, and link the orders paid with that address to it. Nothing else about the sign-in is stored.
• From guests: when a guest RSVPs on an invitation we collect the name, WhatsApp number, chosen events and the optional wish they submit. RSVPs are shared only with the couple who created that invitation. A wish left on the "Wall of Love" is shown on that couple's invitation page to the people who open it.
• Poster studio: the free posters and films are made entirely inside your browser. Nothing you type there is sent to us.
• Usage: a simple count of how many times an invitation was opened. No advertising trackers and no cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser may remember your Studio answers locally so you can continue later.

How it is used

To create the invitation, write its text and paint the couple's illustrations, show RSVPs to the couple, take payment, and operate the service. To write and illustrate your invitation, your answers and photos are processed by AI models run by our service providers; they are used for your invitation only and are not used to train those models by us. We never sell personal data and we never use guest details to contact guests ourselves.

Who else sees data

• Hosting: pages and RSVP data live on cloud infrastructure (Vercel and Cloudflare), with data centres that may be outside India.
• Payments: Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd., under its own privacy policy.
• Music: if a couple chooses a song, it plays through YouTube's official embedded player; YouTube's privacy policy applies while it plays.
• Fonts: served by Google Fonts.

Retention

Invitations stay live for at least 6 months after the wedding date. Studio answers from an unpaid chat are deleted within 30 days. Couples can ask us to take a page down and delete all associated answers, photos, illustrations and RSVP data at any time by writing to hello@wedyay.com.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, and you may withdraw consent. Guests may ask for their RSVP or wish to be removed by contacting us or the couple. Write to hello@wedyay.com and we will respond within 7 days.

Children

Wedyay is for adults planning their own wedding. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
